Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech is famous, even in parts of the world where people don't study the milestones of the American Civil Rights Movement. Famous for its profound message...famous for the eloquent and captivating orator who delivered that message...but most famous for the simple idea of a dream the message was meant to paint a picture of. He had a dream, and knew it was meant to be shared with the world. And like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr,YOU have a dream, and it is supposed to be shared with the world as well.
You may be inclined to stop reading right now...to scoff at me attempting to liken you to such a dynamic icon as King. But be clear, we are not to be compared to him, or anyone else for that matter, only to be made aware that we are the same as him in many ways because we are also human. Our dream may not change the face of politics, religion, technology, culture or the planet. We may not discover uncharted land, ideas, concepts or theories. However, we must NOT believe that our dream is ANY less valuable. The building blocks of dreams are POSITIVE energy...and following such dreams releases that positive energy into our being, unlocks it from its "If only" cage to become a kinetic force that makes us able to affect our own reality and that of our fellow man.
Today is not a day to "LIVE SMALL". Today is not a day to "Hide from ourselves". No matter what we believe in regard to religion or the journey called life or any such related topics, one thing we ALL have in common is that we dream of something. While stepping out into that dream and becoming a conduit for its transmission can be scary, it is also our responsibility. IF WE CAN, WE SHOULD. One thing we know is that it will make a positive impact, maybe on myriad others lives, maybe only on our own...but isn't that enough?

I HAVE A DREAM - TO BE SOMEBODY, TO BE ADMIRED, TO BE CHERISHED, TO BE LOOKED-UP TO - it is insatiable, it is human.
